ccording to the data, the great majority of EU and Hungarian citizens reject GM products. When shopping, everyone can see whether the products include GMOs, because any genetic modification must be indicated on labelling. However, if the presence of the GMOs is adventitious or technically unavoidable and this presence is below the threshold level (0.9%), that does not need to be indicated on labelling. Unfortunately, it is not compulsory to indicate if an animal has consumed GMO feed in the case of meat from an animal fed with GMO feed or the food produced using it.
